The highest mountain of Turkey, legendary Mt Ararat, is one of the best-known of all mountains because of its biblical attribution as the final resting place of Noah's A rk (as related in Genesis 8:4). A huge inactive volcano tow ering above the arid steppe of Eastern Turkey connects the borders of A rmenia, Iran and Turkey. From the summit an over view of the cradle of ancient civilizations can be seen, high above the cloud line, it is simply stunning. Ideal for those who enjoy intensive trekking. This tour includes a level of difficulty at high altitude.

ITINERARY: 7 DAYS
Day 1: Van - Dogubeyazit Join the trip in Van and transfer to Hotel
Day 2: Dogubeyazit - Mt Ararat (Base Camp 3200 m) In the morning, transfer to Eli Village by truck where our Mt Ararat trek will start. Then trek to Mt Ararat base camp at 3200 m. Camp
Day 3: Acclimatization day - Mt. Ararat Acclimatization trek to Second Camp (4100 m.) and then return back to Base Camp.
Day 4: Mt.Ararat Second Camp Trek up to Second Camp (4100 m.) where we spend the night. Camp
Day 5: Mt.Ararat - Summit Day(5137m.) An early start to the Summit, crossing the upper snow covered slopes to finally reach the summit of one of the world's most enigmatic peaks.
The ascent is demanding, however those attempting it should be confident in their own physical ability. Although previous experience with ice axe and crampons is not essential, but it is recommended. We return to the Base Camp.
Day 6: Dogubeyazit – Van (or Extra Day) coast of Turkey’s biggest Lake Van. Hotel According to weather conditions on Day 6, a second summit attempt will be made. Otherwise; in the morning, descend to Eli Village and transfer to Dogubeyazit. Visit Ishak Pasha Palace, the Ottoman governor Ishak Pasa constructed the palace in 17th century with a mixture of architectural styles.

Equipments
- Trekking boots with ankle support

- Daysack for your daily use (25-35 litre volume), other luggage will be carried from camp to camp by jeep or mule

- For Mt Ararat, participants must apply for the permission at least 2 months before the climb. For permission we need;
Names, Passport Numbers, Issue Date, Expiration date, Giving Date, Date of Birth, Place of Birth, Living Place information. Otherwise we can not guarantee the climb.
- The information in this itinerary is given in good faith, and covers general conditions which are most likely found on this trip.
